Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is on a month-long sabbatical, is missing from action but his posters in various parts of Uttar Pradesh are certainly making waves. The latest in the list is from Amethi, the bastion of the Nehru-Gandhi family.
With there being no news of the Congress leader, people in Rahul Gandhi's Amethi Lok Sabha constituency have now come up with a poster titled "Amethi Without a Leader".
The poster, which contains a list of problems being faced by the voters of Amethi, also contains the line of famous Hindi film song, 'Jaane Woh Kaunsa Desh, Jahain Tum Chale Gaye'.
The posters even allege that the Congress vice-president
lacks vision as he decided to go on leave during the crucial Budget
Session of Parliament for which the party is being severely criticised
by the ruling party. The posters list problems in his constituency, including bad roads and poor health services, and offer a reward for any information on the Congress MP. They are signed off by anonymous "people of Amethi".
This is not the first time when any such poster or banner has come up in Gandhi bastion.
Last month, a section of disgruntled Congress workers in Allahabad had put up posters and banners in the city announcing "handsome reward" for anyone who can find Rahul.
Some Congressmen in Allahabad had put up posters and banners in which they demanded Priyanka Gandhi Vadra should be inducted as the Congress vice-president in absence of her brother Rahul.
The Congress general secretary is expected to return to work on April 27.
