A Jewish leader has claimed that Friday's solar eclipse is the "Day of Judgement" for the people in Europe as "it will happen on the first day of spring and first day of Jewish religious calendar".
"In Jewish tradition, a total solar eclipse is a warning to the Gentiles and a sign of judgment  on the nations." The metro.co.uk quoted Mark Blitz as saying.
"When we look at where the darkness will be, it will be in northern European countries like England and Sweden where we see the rise of Islam and anti-Israel sentiment. Europeans especially should take heed," he was quoted as saying.
Two weeks after the solar eclipse there will be the third of four "blood moons" (lunar eclipses). This, he said, "demands attention" despite the fact that it happens once every 100,000 years and we're still here.
He then cites the Bible adding that it is probably "a message from God to the entire world".
Citing 1967, he said that in that year there were four blood moons and Israel captured Jerusalem.
Bob O'Dell, founder of Root Sources, an online service teaching about Judaism, added: "The North Pole can't really be called the territory of any particular nation or people. This is likely a message from God to the entire world."
So there you have it. Get into your bunker or put your eclipse glasses on at your own risk.
