'Fashion fades, style is eternal' remains Gladys Perint Palmer mantra .

Fashion and statement are two difficult properties to attain and to know a person with such an amazing eye for it, is simply outstanding. "To say Gladys Perint Palmer has an eye for fashion is an understatement." Truly so quoted by Vogue.com and when  Gladys Perint Palmer  (GPP) was named as one of the 500 Influential People in Fashion in 1998 by The Fashion Book (Phaidon Press), affirmation reached all ears. 2004 embarked her entry in book-writing - Fashion People (Assouline) was her first book of drawings and irreverent captions. The second book - Adam & Yves (Firefall Media), is currently available in paperback. Later in 2007, she was also invited to participate in the Victoria & Albert Museum's 150th Anniversary album and exhibition.
The illustrations by her were used for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. The editorial work also appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, UK Sunday Times, The New Yorker and Vogue. GPP also documented the filming of Robert Altman's 'Pret-a-Porter' and has had exhibitions in Hong Kong, New York and London.
The fantastic present is the outcome of GPP's uber fantastic early days which started after being born in Budapest. With high school education in London, she studied at both Central St. Martin's School of Art and Parsons School of Design to further emboss her eye for fashion and style. Her professional stint started with being the Fashion Editor of the (Hearst) San Francisco Examiner. In 1995, She became the Executive Director of Fashion at Academy of Art University. The major objective of which was to raise the international profile of the 22 schools of art and design within the University.
In the following year in January 2015 she shall be visiting India. She said, "I fell in love with India in 1997; I am delighted to return and to have India, which is full of adventure, as the place to embark on my new role. The spirituality, intelligence, ancient culture, and emerging talents are remarkable.
The colours, crafts, and beauty of both the people and the countryside are magical." GPP will be visiting New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangaluru, and Chennai. "I am looking forward seeing these cities, connecting with our alumni there, meeting students and young professionals interested in studying at Academy of Art University, and, extending invitations to leading industry professionals to visit Academy of Art University in San Francisco."
